The Debonair Daredevil DevereuxHello folks! Just a quick update on the #matthard project for those not following the blog.

(Why aren't you following the blog? If YOU had a blog, #matthard would SO follow YOU!)

As you may have noticed from the promo image on the left, the comic book now has an official title - Devereux - along with a signed-off storyline, a promotional cover image and a completed script. All we need now is some money! And that's we're you come in.

We've just released full details of how to donate, why we're relying on donations and what your contribution will net you over at matthard.co.uk. Included also is a recap of the reasoning behind the project, and a cast-iron promise that all profits will be re-invested back into the site and (if the first issue is popular enough!) producing future issues of the comic book.

If you've ever enjoyed any of the entertainment that we at GeekPlanetOnline have provided for free over the last two years - and, more importantly, if you'd like to ensure that the site stays advertising-free! - we'd be very grateful if you could take some time to learn about what we're doing, and even more grateful if you could send us a donation (you'll get a signed copy in return and everything!).

Okay, mooching sack closed. Thanks for your time.

Matt Dillon

The creator, Publisher, webmaster, cartoonist and first ever Podcaster of GeekPlanetOnline. When he's not busy tinkering with the site, recording or editing a podcast, Matt can be found catching up with a TV show that he's got into three years after everybody else or pissing his life away playing videogames. He's rubbish at them, but he plays them anyway.

Matt got his first taste of journalism writing for Sci-Fi London between 2007 - 2008. Since then he has written freelance for SFX Magazine ("But hasn't everybody?" he says), drawn more cartoons than is healthy and completed a novel, which is terrible and will never see the light of day. He lives in West Sussex with a lot of fish, and wishes he didn't.
