Those of you who have been following Matt Dillion's progress on his comic project over at www.matthard.co.uk will know that the site has been open for donations in order to raise the £500 necessary to have a print run produced.
The donations have been coming in but we were still a little shy of the target figure. It was then that Matt received an email.
The email was from Neil Gardener, who owns the award winning radio production company Ladbroke Productions. Ladbroke Productions are responsible for (amongst other things) the radio adaptation of Robert Rankin's The Brightonomicon broadcast on BBC7 and Tom Baker's return to the role of The Doctor for the Hornets' Nest series of audio adventures.
Neil very kindly offered to make up the difference between the amount we had and the amount we needed and in doing so has made Devereux, as a physical printed product, a reality.
We would like to thank Neil for his generosity and encourage all of you to pay his website at www.ladbrokeradio.com a visit and give him a big vote of thanks.
Because of this, donations via the #matthard blog are now closed. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated to the project and helped to make Devereux possible. Thank you not just for your support of Matt but also for your support of GeekPlanetOnline, as the comic will help to fund the site, allowing the continued growth of the online community that we are both extremely proud of.
