Is there any news on this? The blog vanished off the main page around Christmas and when you click the lonk in the OP it says the site is no longer available?

Hi Phil,

We had to remove the blog section on the front page, as it was causing some problems with the site.

However, the development blog is still up and running. You can find it at www.matthard.co.uk Matt has recently updated it with some new images and from his updates on twitter and facebook, it seems he's learning a lot and producing some really great work.

How are things going with this. Pop over to the blog regularly but there's been no updates since January?

You're entirely justified in asking, Phil.

There's been a large number of developments in my personal life since January, not to mention a large number of GeekPlanetOnline-related matters that have demanded my attention, and Devereux found itself on hold as a result.

I'm pleased to say that I'll be resuming work in the next couple oof days, and hope to make a completed page available as an apology as soon as possible. The blogs will resume shortly as well.

Watch this space: more this weekend.

Are you planning to draw the artwork on your (shiny new) ipad and how is that artwork comparing to the artwork you've been drawing so far?

The artwork will be done entirely in the iPad, and I've found an app (Sketchbook Pro) which accommodates my art style perfectly. The will be evidence of this soon.

Yeah, saw a pic you posted on Twitter, very impressive. I do wonder how it'll stand up in print as I remember you reworked your original coverarts for Devereux.

But all good stuff so far.

Is the comic book itself going to feature a mixture of photography and digital pictures? IIRC this was the case with the work you sampled on Twitter.

It will be entirely hand-drawn art. The reason that photo backdrops were used was simply to make the portraits look more interesting than simply using a white background, and such concept art really didn't require the investment of time to draw a background from scratch.
