Byron not liking JCVD makes me a sad panda.

He did. He didn't hit me with the blu-ray box when we saw Mr Nice and Winter's Bone on Saturday.

John Cleese was in Mortal Kombat? I really don't remember that occurring.

What was the name of the website you sent your scripts into after University?

The Amazon studios news was interesting. Obviously you'd have to be careful with what you submitted, but frankly it sounds like you'd have more luck with them than anywhere else, especially if you're an amateur.

Mine is claptrap if still on there.

I like the idea of Amazon Studios, but it does sound like it's already falling into the wrong hands to a few people.

How the fuck did 'Rubber' get made?! The trailer looks like a spoof, and not a particularly clever or funny one. 'Visionary Director'? Bollocks. The guy is clearly wrong in the head.

Really wish I'd heard Iain's review of 'Barney's Version' earlier. I probably would have seen that this week instead of 'Tangled'.

Thought people might be interested in my Oscar Preview Podcast that I've just released into my feed.

Among other things it agrees with Byron about Biutiful and slightly disagrees with the guys over Animal Kingdom.

Just listened to the latest one, odd mix of movies this week.

Unknown sounded interesting from the Trailer, conversely Jango or whatever looked terrible. I wanted to punch The Adjustment B---- (can't spell it) from the Trailer. all that bollocks about fate and can't sticking together but they must because of love.

However, TAB sounds like the better film for me, and Unknown sounds like the one to avoid.

Really not sold on Bango Deppisode thing as it sounds like the references will go over my head as well as i'm really not into westerns.

As for the Oscars and Blade runner. Really don't care about either. It's Hollywood, they fail.

TAB is horrifically advertised and works due to it's very charming core relationship. Unknown is merely Frantic for the xfactor audience.

I really enjoyed 'Submarine'. The unlikeablility of Oliver didn't bother me nearly as much as it did Byron. I just saw it as a character study of an unusual young man. (For TV fans Craig Roberts played Adam in the last series of Being Human, also a really good performance).

The love triangle between Sally Hawkins, Noah Taylor & Paddy Considine was played superbly as well. I love the fact that Considine is described as a Psychic Ninja and it's somewhat accurate.

It's interesting what you said about Richard Ayoade. I actively dislike 'The IT Crowd', but I still think as both director and writer Ayoade does a great job. Having said that, I don't think all of the visual quirks work. You can tell it's his first feature.
