Just finished listening to your anniversary episode. Love the new intro & outtro (or is it spelled outro?)

Regarding leather, while I completely agree with Brandi that making things out of unborn calves is sick and wrong, I don't have a problem with ordinary leather because it is simply a by-product of the meat industry and I eat meat. It makes sense to use what's left over rather than waste it, which is also why it's logical that a cowboy would wear leather chaps - if one of his herd dies, he may or may not be able to eat the meat depending on what it died of, but he can make use of its skin.

That untreated leather that stains easily & discolours in sunlight makes zero sense for luggage though!

I have an android phone rather than an iphone so I don't subscribe to itunes. Can I still give you a review, or is there an equivalent I can do for android?

Here's to another year of the insideoutcast!

I'm not quite sure how you can rate or review a podcast for Android phones. I guess that would depend on whatever podcatcher application you have installed. Not having an Android I don't know what features the various podcatchers offer. If you could rate the podcast that would be the most likely way as far as I know.

Just listening to #152 where you were talking about the Olympics Opening Ceremony & wondering about the NHS dance segwaying into children's literature. The NHS dancers formed the logo & initials for Great Ormond Street Hospital - GOSH. J M Barrie pledged the royalties from Peter Pan to GOSH in perpetuity, and in the UK the link between GOSH & Peter Pan is really well known, so it goes NHS-GOSH-Peter Pan - Children's literature.

Having not yet listened to #153 I'm aware that Colin may well have already fed this back to you, so apologies if this is repetition

Actually that particular aspect of the ceremony slipped my mind, but I can confirm Ann-Marie's assertion that the link between GOSH and Peter Pan is well established in Britain. Indeed just before the whole NHS/Children's literature skit started we were watching the deaf choir all in pyjamas and my Mother wondered why. I casually said 'Oh they're about to be taken away by Peter Pan' and bugger me if I wasn't right. See, I'm psychic me.

Hey Insideout cast, this will be a large splurge of feedback. Long overdue, some of it even has mould but I tried to pick that off.

First off, little note on Super Street Fighter 4

Like Dave, when I first started playing Street Fighter 4 back in 2008, I thought the combo system was a little limited as well, but when you start to learn about things like Links, chains and how to Focus Attack: Dash Cancel (FADC) the system opens up quite a bit, but it does take lots of skill and practice to be able to use all these techniques. The above video starts off with a long list of complex Guile combo's (I picked him at random). Although the combo system is actually quite limited in some ways, it does have it's depths though if you want something more like the Tekken games, why not try Street Fighter X Tekken? It's like Street Fighter, but with Tekken bits tagged on.

Anyway,

Cabin in the Woods.

I wasn't interested in seeing Cabin in the Woods until I saw a poster for the film. The poster interested me as it gave more mystery to the story, it hinted that this wasn't just a typical horror film and that there was something more to the cabin. It wasn't selling a villain like some other horror films or setting up a specific scenario beyond people going to a cabin in the woods. It looked like it could be lovecraftian based on the distorted cabin or certainly, it wasn't about the monsters hunting the victims, more the place itself. It looked fresh and interesting.

When I saw the trailer, it near killed it for me. The instant you see
:pinch: Warning: Spoiler!
(here after refered to as X) my view changed. The trailer may have told me, "You think you know the story", but then it gave me a pretty good idea of what it would be. So what was the point of giving away one of the core twists. You've shown me X happens in the trailer, seems X is going on in the film, gee what a surprise you fucktards.

I still went to see the film and I did figure things out way before they were revealed. Largely because of seeing X in the trailer. Having said that, the film was still somewhat predictable as it actively limits possibilities as it goes along and makes specific allusions as it goes along. I still liked and enjoyed the film, it's one of a few horror films I've actually liked recently.

Onto other horror films,

I was interested in watching Shriners until it got to the bit about the ritual sacrifice. Why can't ritual sacrifice be nice and kosher? Why is it always these damn tortuous rituals? Can't we be civil about these things?

Anyway,

Finally ish,

Dawnguard. I really wasn't keen on this from the trailers (bad trailers are bad), I am beyond tired of vampires. I can't remember the last time a vampire interested me, they're so dull I'm not even interested in killing them. If anyone listening ever becomes a vampire, either top yourself off or don't be a whiney bitch about your tortured existance or the fact that you're an inhuman monster and you think humans are cattle. We've heard it all before, we don't have time to listen to you monologue about BS all day. Just be a damn vampire and drink blood or whatever.

If I do get Dawnguard, I will be joining the Dawnguard and shooting all vampires in the genitals with fire. I'm not hugely keen on expansions that just give you more powerful tools to play and though it seems Dawnguard offers a bit more, most of that seems to revolve around being a werewolf or vampire, i'd rather be a squirrel.

Anyway,

Sorry it's been so long, glad you're still going.

P.S. Have you seen Madoka Magicka? If you haven't, you probably should.
